2026-06-07 daily briefing
Sunday shifted the autonomy roadmap from broad framework design into execution-first reliability work: the Hub reports now explain the recommendation, P009 proved a supervised Codex-native runner path, and P008 Paperclip stayed safely bounded behind local-only guardrails.
Work completed today
Published the Paperclip v4 evaluation report and the chaptered autonomous-agent framework report, then added Chapters 6 and 7 with the final execution-first recommendation and implementation plan.
Added obot handoff notes to Chapter 7 and the P009 runner scaffold task so the next implementation session had an issue-linked source of truth.
Created the P008 Paperclip pilot structure: Project #30, Requirements #31/#32, and Tasks #33/#34/#35.
Created the P009 execution-first structure: Project #36, Requirement #37, and Tasks #38/#39/#40, then added Task #43 for allowlisted OpenClaw/Telegram runner actions.
Implemented and merged the supervised Codex runner scaffold in obot-claw.github.io PR #41.
Implemented and merged the allowlisted runner action wrapper and OpenClaw runner-action docs in obot-claw.github.io PR #44.
Completed the P008 Paperclip source/security/install-surface review in Task #33 without installing Paperclip or using credentials.
Attempted the approved local-only P008 PM pilot in Task #34 with telemetry disabled, disposable state, and no real credentials; setup is blocked on embedded PostgreSQL initialization.
PRs, issues, and reports touched
obot-claw.github.io PR #41 merged the P009 supervised runner ledger, watchdog tests, acceptance-cycle guardrails, and user summary report.
obot-claw.github.io PR #44 merged the P009 allowlisted runner action wrapper and docs.
obot-claw.github.io issues #30-#40 and #43 now track the P008 Paperclip pilot and P009 execution-first runner work.
P009 issues #36/#37 are ready-review after Tasks #38/#39/#40/#43 closed.
P008 issue #33 closed completed; #31 is ready-review; #34 is blocked by local embedded PostgreSQL bootstrap; #32/#35 remain planned.
safety-agent PR #4, safety-agent issues #6/#7, safety-histogram PRs #1/#2, gsm.safety PR #29, and RPharma2026-AIKeynote PR #1 remain in the public review or follow-up queue.
Blockers and risks
P008 Task #34 is blocked by Paperclip's embedded PostgreSQL initialization during local bootstrap; no production credentials or OpenClaw auth were used.
P009 is ready for Jeremy review as an execution-first alternative to a Paperclip-first migration, but P008 remains available for later pilot work after the local bootstrap issue is resolved.
safety-agent PR #4 still has requested changes and needs Jeremy's P004 requirements/testing-standard decision.
gsm.safety PR #29 still has requested changes and needs a priority decision before it should interrupt P004/P008/P009 work.
RPharma2026-AIKeynote PR #1 is open and currently conflicting; future deck work should resolve it inside the PR workflow.
๐ ToDo
safety-agent#4 - @jwildfire: please answer only the human decision: what should become the P004 requirements/testing standard? Development Bot should handle any fixable requested changes.
safety-agent#4 - @jwildfire: please confirm the proper study repo or closeout path for P004 docs/requirements; otherwise delegate implementation cleanup to Development Bot.
safety-agent#7 - @jwildfire: please approve or reject the P004 testing-agent GitHub App implementation path and install-scope decisions.
safety-agent#6 - @jwildfire: no action until Development posts final merge-readiness evidence; then approve/decline PR #1 implementation merge path before PR #2 testing-framework follow-up.
obot-claw.github.io#18 - @jwildfire: please decide whether the GitHub-native memory requirement is accepted/closed or needs one more agent task.
gsm.safety#29 - @jwildfire: please confirm whether this non-roadmap PR should be prioritized now; otherwise leave for agent follow-up after P004/P007.
obot-claw.github.io#36 - @jwildfire: please decide whether P009 execution-first runner work is accepted/closed, or whether agents should start another P009 follow-up before returning to P008/Paperclip.
Recommended next priorities
Review or close out P009 issues #36/#37 now that the execution-first runner scaffold and allowlisted actions are merged.
Decide whether P008 should continue with a local Paperclip bootstrap fix or stay deferred until more Codex-native runner cycles prove reliable.
Keep P004 focused on PR #4 and issue #6 before starting another renderer migration.
Resolve the RPharma2026-AIKeynote PR #1 conflict only when Jeremy has the next deck-content tranche ready.
Project status and progress changes
P009 is newly tracked and ready-review: the execution-first supervised runner path has merged implementation evidence in PRs #41 and #44.
P008 is active but blocked at the first local PM pilot: source/security review passed with guardrails, while embedded PostgreSQL bootstrap needs follow-up.
P007 remains largely implemented; remaining public work is review/closure of GitHub-native memory and launch-contract details.
P004 remains active but gated on human review decisions and merge-readiness evidence.
P006 remains in planning/draft status with an open keynote PR and a known conflict to resolve during the next content pass.
