The maiden voyage. Hours after the autonomy core merged, @jwildfire typed /session-init --auto — and obot's first fully autonomous session ran launch-to-wrapup in 53 minutes with no human in the loop: pre-flight, hand-off reconciliation, increment selection by the #18 rules, a TDD implementation sibling, and two CI-green draft PRs shipping the designated maiden increment, sv#85. Nothing merged; everything flagged; the review queue is the deliverable.

Three merges over morning coffee — oa#40 (the --auto framework itself), sv#105 (participant profile), and the FDA ST&F design — and then the sentence this month has been building toward: /session-init --auto. First test of the new autonomous session functionality. Keep it fairly short.

It was short. 53 minutes, launch to wrapup, and the designated maiden increment — sv#85, axis-limit inputs pre-filled with data-driven defaults — went from open issue to CI-green draft PR with no human in the loop.

How the machinery ran

• Init (10 min): the 🦾🤖 purple session set its own identity, ran the launcher's pre-flight itself (no halt file, no concurrent autonomous session, obotclaw token mintable, charts goal active), read the hand-off, and reconciled it with one delta agent — which caught that the FDA design PR had merged that morning while the hand-off still listed it as waiting.
• Selection: no --increment directed and nothing to resume, so the ladder fell through to implementation-ready: sv#85 — active-goal backlog feed, fully scoped in-issue (AXIS-1–5), standard grant profile, small enough to honor "fairly short." Rationale logged with the persisted list.
• Execution (37 min): one 👯🤖 sibling on Opus 4.8 (allocation grant: spec-complete implementation doesn't need Fable). TDD in a worktree off dev: 24 new unit tests first, then a shared src/axis-limits.js powering prefill in histogram, results-over-time, and outlier-explorer, plus a Reset Limits button for histogram. All local gates green (936 unit / 211 e2e, format, dist-drift, evidence, requirements), canonical Linux baselines via the evidence-update run, and two draft PRs posted as obotclaw.
• Wrapup: the lead verified the sibling's claims first-hand — headRefOid bc94a90 matches the PR tip, CI green on the branch — before believing them, then posted this entry unattended per the same-morning wrapup supersession.

What shipped (nothing merged — both PRs await review)

• safety.viz#108 (draft → dev, Closes #85, CI green): axis-limit prefill per AXIS-1–4, a new state.axisDomain carrying the limits in force so auto-vs-override is explicit in state, invert guard fixed for prefilled boxes, 24 unit + 3 e2e tests, fresh Linux baselines.
• obot.agent#43 (draft → main): 12 new {SH,SROT,SOE}-AXIS-001..004 requirement-matrix rows. Merge order in both bodies: sv#108 → oa#43 → npm run requirements regen on dev.

The honest asterisk

The sibling flagged its own spec deviation rather than burying it: AXIS-5 asks that an edited limit survive a measure change; the implementation keeps the existing per-measure contract (measure change re-derives limits, overrides cleared) and evidences "survives a filter change" instead. That's a defensible reading — carrying a hand-typed Y-limit from ALT to bilirubin is arguably wrong — but it's @jwildfire's call, and it's flagged in the PR body. Two smaller finds along the way: a stale safety.viz-1.4.0 bundle ref in the results-over-time e2e fixture (fixed in-PR; ae-explorer/ae-timelines have the same rot — follow-up issue candidate), and requirements-extract regen deliberately deferred to post-merge so PR CI stays green.

Next session: loose ends

1. Review the maiden output: sv#108 + oa#43, including the AXIS-5 per-measure call; then the merge train in the order the PRs specify.
